Pleaase pray for...
~ There are two separate women dying of cancer now, in the area I live, and although I do not know either one very well, they are still on my heart and mind a lot lately. I know their friends, and after receiving the updates last night, I was saddened by the news and frustrated with my lack of being able to help in any way. It is hard to watch anyone die, young or old, but there is a greater confusion and sadness to the fact that these women are both in their thirties with young children. Please pray for them, for their families, and for their friends.

I understand your frustration. My 37 year old nephew is being treated for colon cancer right now. My son and I buried a good friend of his last week. 19 year old fellow Scout who died after a long battle with brain cancer. I'm trying hard to practice fervent prayer and to live like it's "enough." It is, because God is God and He hears the prayers of His people, but the frustration at not being able to put my hand to the task, so to speak, doesn't diminish with that knowledge.

Hey Kristin! I have been reading your blog for a while, but never commented. Today, however, I want you to know that I am praying for you and your friends. I am going through a similar situation with a friend, but her faith is so strong. She sees God and ministry opportunities with every turn, good and bad. It is inspirational! My prayer is that these women can find a peace and understanding in their situations that only God can give.
And, by the way, I am praying that you, Brody, and your family are enjoying the time you have together this week!

That's so sobering Kristin. I'll certainly be praying.

Beth~ that is so sad, I am so sorry.
Tracy~ Brody and I were just talking about how cool you were today! I am sorry to hear about your friend, but it is awesome to see when they are able to accept it and live with very strong faith. I feel like at times it is harder, emotionally for those around having to let go. Thank you for the prayers.
Kat and Angela, thank you.

praying for you honey, for your friends, and their friends. it's too hard to understand, but God does and He knows what is going on. Nothing is hidden from Him. He loves us and wants the best for us, even when what is happening doesn't seem to make sense.

I'll definitely be praying for them.
